What was I thinking?

How I got here.

Two weeks into my volunteer placement, I ask myself: what the eff was I thinking?


I was not.

No, not really. It was a rather difficult and conscious effort not to think (just do it!) -- even when you are forced to, throughout the whole application and pre-departure process -- because if I did, rationality & pragmatism trumps over humanity.

And I'm not gonna start just about now - think.
